Divine Comedy in only five minutes.

The Five-Minute Dante's Inferno

Greg Nagan composed a series of shortened versions of great classics in The Five Minute Iliad and Other Instant Classics including a five minute version of the Inferno...written entirely in limerick. Here is a sample (because printing more would probably get my ass kicked):

Virgil said, "Never mind, listen well.
I can get you through this ordell."
He said with a grin,
as he wiped off his chin,
"Come on, Dante, we're going to Hell."

You probably think it's amusing,
but to me it was only confusing,
that "helping me well"
meant a trip down to Hell.
I thought, What kind of drugs is he using?

Want more? Get the book. It's hysterical. (Note: The middle two lines of the first stanza are from the infamous 'Man from Nantucket' limerick.)
